Land Acknowledgement

The Manitoba Electrical Museum & Education Centre is located on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Ininew, and Dakota peoples, and in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge the Treaties and the ongoing relationship Indigenous peoples have with this land. As a museum dedicated to Manitoba's electrical history, we also recognize that much of Manitoba's hydroelectric power is generated on northern lands and waterways, including Treaty territories, and we are committed to sharing history with respect, truth, and reconciliation.
